Course materials and documentation are provided following registration - all you need is a personal computer with Internet access and web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Access to Computers

If you do not have a personal computer or you have a Mac computer you can access this Challenging Arthritis self-management program after you have joined up (click on Joining the Program in the menu at left) by using a computer at your local municipal library. They offer personal computers with Internet access that you can use to access the Challenging Arthritis website, print the modules out and take them home to use.

You can do the same by using a computer at an Internet café.

Adobe Acrobat Reader

You'll find links to both other websites and to documents included on this site, such as the application form or the evaluation form, which are Adobe Acrobat PDF files.

Get Adobe ReaderLinks to Adobe Acrobat files will open up when you click on them with the left hand mouse button. To read them, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe website by clicking here. If you are using a library or internet cafe to view this site, ask the supervisor if the PC you are using has Acrobat installed.

How to navigate the site

We hope you will find Challenging Arthritis easy and rewarding to use. Your site menu is on the left of the page. Main menu items are in white, with topics in those sections in yellow. You'll find that as you click on a main menu item, the topics for that section will display.

You can use the menu to quickly access sections and topics. We recommend that as you work your way through the site, you use the right arrow at the bottom of each page to move forward. Some topics are continued over several pages before moving to a new one.

Once you have registered and received your username and password, you'll have access to the Challenging Arthritis modules. At the very bottom of each page throughout the modules, you'll find a link to our Site Map, which can direct you to any page at the click of a button, and also a link called Help which will take you back to this page.

More information is available on our Help page, which can be accessed from any page on this site using a link provided at the bottom of each page.
